Coblentz Distributing Inc. (dba Walnut Creek Foods) has completed the purchase of Streb’s Quality Meats in Dalton, Ohio. This acquisition includes certain portions of the business, including the Streb’s brand, meat stick product line, and specialty ham business. The remaining product lines are being retained by the Streb family, and will continue to be produced out of their current location.
With local roots, Streb’s Quality Meats was founded in 1936 by Victor Streb on a farm in Dalton, Ohio. Craig Streb, the third-generation owner of Streb’s, took over the business in 1980 from his father Arnold. The business has steadily grown over the years and is known for their extensive line of quality meat products.
Founded in 1977, Walnut Creek Foods is a family-owned food manufacturer and distributor. With a vision of Making Life Better, Walnut Creek continues to grow with a focus on serving rural communities with quality foods that promote good stewardship and loyalty. This acquisition further solidifies their commitment to manufacturing and distributing products popular among residents of Holmes County and the surrounding areas.
