Soup Mix - Bacon Flavored Split Pea
Recipe
Water 5 cups
Bacon Flavored Split Pea Soup Mix 1 ½ cups
Instructions:
Combine water and Bacon Flavored Split Pea Soup Mix in saucepan.
Using a wire whisk, stir well while bringing mixture to a boil.
Reduce heat to a simmer for 35-45 minutes, stirring frequently, being careful to avoid scorching soup.
Less cooking time will yield more distinctive peas and longer cooking time will yield more of a puree.
For a creamy finish add ½ cup of heavy cream to the finished soup and stir until incorporated.
Check seasonings and serve.
